Tomas Dalton is one of the most exciting and versatile tenors to emerge from Australia in recent years. He has been critically acclaimed for his “commanding” and “refined” performances, and his “attractive voice and warmth of tone.”
 

For Opera Australia Tomas has performed or understudied over 20 roles, and has also appeared with Victorian Opera, and State Opera South Australia. His repertoire includes Alfredo Germont in La Traviata, Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, Rodolfo in La Bohème, Rinuccio in Gianni Schicci, Tamino in Die Zauberflöte, and he is currently touring Australia as Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni. 

 

Tomas also has a wide concert repertoire, having performed the tenor solos in Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, Verdi’s Requiem, Mozart’s Requiem, and Puccini’s Messa di Gloria, among many others.
 

Tomas is the winner of the Acclaim Awards Fellowship, Johnson Bequest, and AOAC Opera Award, which allowed him to undertake further study in Italy after completing his studies in voice and piano in Australia.
